Well, I sent off another round of crafty swaps. This time the theme primarily centered around Halloween. I chose three swaps, but a couple I did two sets for each one. If you click on the art tab, I have pictures of what I did.
Of course I did the note card swap, my fav. I also did salt cookie dough ornaments. A new challenge for me. I threw out several batches, before I was satisfied enough to send my ornaments for swapping. I also did the embellishment swap, but again picked two I have never done before, bottle caps and mini banners. The banners I truly struggled with, as I just could not get the imagine in my head to turn out the way I wanted, but I think the end result is pretty good.
Go check out all the fun to be had at YPP, there is something for everyone. If you are lone crafter, this is the perfect place to make crafty friends, from all over, and share ideas and get inspiration. Link is below.

I also been busy setting up for The Close To My Heart, 8/1/2013 launch of their Fall/Winter Idea Book. So please visit my website and browse the idea book. You can also join as consultant and get up to $155.00 in product for just $49.00. No strings attached, if you are a hobbyist and just want the product it is great deal. If you interested in a side business this kit is a great starting point. Come check it out; any questions let me know...http://creativecrops.ctmh.com
Third task I am try to complete is my heritage scrapbook. I see light at the end of the tunnel, but still have lots to do.
Any way hope all of you are doing well and remember to take a little time to create, even if it's a random doodle...creating is a great release.

Card Making
Hi Everybody,
I posted a video on YouTube, challenging myself to put to use all my scrap card stock. Well I decide to try and make some mini mote cards.
Please let me say, as I did in my video I am not a professional crafter, I have had no formal training/classes in any type of art. I see things I like and get inspired and try to recreate or put my on unique stamp on things. I hope these little cards inspire you also, to tap into your inner crafter, we all have one.
I think these little cards would be great hostess gifts, secret Santa, or just to have on hand when you need to package a last minute gift.
Any positive feedback or helpful suggestions would be welcome.
Stay Crafty,
Diane

Card One-These are nature inspired-sentiments, thanks, congrats, thinking of you, and just because, embellished with a little bling, and matching stamped envelope.
Card Two-Flower, premade embellishments, on plain white card stock with a one inch strip of patterned paper to ground them, and coordinating ric-rak to finish off.
Card Three-Fruit Card-Close To My Heart Stamp-when seen up close looks like an actual sketch...beautiful stamp...each little quote matches the fruit...ie: Apple...Love you to the core...super cute. I did note do anything elaborate with these as they look really nice all by themselves.
Card Four-Caffiene Inspired-All made from scrap card stock, stamped a little glitter gel to emphasize the heart. I stamped the envelope and the inside of card with a strip of coffee beans. I also made a pizza box with coordinating band so cards/envelopes could fit inside.
Card Five-Birthday- I had some colored balloons with glitter, so I did a picture window, with postage stamp punch, on front each card stamped with coordinating color ink with candles and sentiment "make a wish", in side, 'happy birthday". I also stamped envelopes to coordinate.
